Pet Vaccinations in Jeffersonville

Unique Vaccination Schedules Tailored to Your Pet’s Individual Needs

We can’t talk about keeping your loved one well without bringing up pet vaccinations. Vaccines offer valuable protection against contagious viruses and diseases, helping pets live healthier, longer lives. At Eastside Animal Hospital in Jeffersonville, we’re happy to provide the vaccines your pet needs to live safely in their environment. We implement a staged vaccine protocol, in which pets don’t receive yearly vaccinations and are vaccinated according to their individual and lifestyle needs.

To schedule an appointment, call (812) 370-5617 or fill out our online request form. We welcome pets from areas of Southern Indiana and Central Kentucky.

We know the cost of vaccinations and wellness care can add up! That is why Eastside now offers Paws4Wellness payment plans for your pet. Learn more about our available monthly and annual plans here.

Core & Lifestyle Vaccines for Cats & Dogs

Keeping up with pet vaccinations and knowing what’s right for your four-legged family member can be tricky, but we’ll always work with you to select the best options. Core vaccines are required, while lifestyle vaccines are given based on factors such as age, breed, size, medical history, and risk of exposure.

We offer the following core and lifestyle vaccines for cats and dogs in Jeffersonville:

  • Cats:
    • Rabies (core)
    • Feline distemper (core)
    • Feline leukemia (lifestyle, recommended for outdoor cats)
  • Dogs:
    • Rabies (core)
    • Distemper-parainfluenza-parvo-leptospirosis (core)
    • Bordetella (lifestyle)
    • Lyme vaccine (lifestyle)
    • Canine influenza vaccine (lifestyle)

Along with their core vaccines, all of our canine lodging guests must also be vaccinated for Bordetella and canine influenza.

What Is Canine Influenza & Why Should I Vaccinate My Dog for It?

Canine influenza virus, or CIV, is a highly contagious virus that has two strains. At Eastside Animal Hospital, we carry the bivalent flu vaccine, which offers pets immunity against both strains of the virus. Due to the outbreak taking place in the American Southwest, we require that any pets scheduled for Lodging appointments receive this flu vaccine. Canine flu spreads quickly and can even be fatal, so we want your pet protected. Feel free to call us any time if you have questions about canine flu or the bivalent vaccine we offer.

Not Sure What Your Pet Needs?

We can help! Your veterinarian will evaluate your pet’s medical history and discuss their lifestyle with you to create the most appropriate vaccine schedule. Pet vaccinations aid your pet’s immune system in recognizing and destroying intrusive viruses, so they’re crucial to your pet’s continued good health.

If your four-legged friend is due for their vaccines and you’d like to make an appointment, give us a call today at (812) 370-5617.
